The Varial X, a new model for Airush, fuses the best design and performance features of the powerful and direct Varial kite with the unhooked, C-inspired performance of the former Vapor X. It’s an impressive advanced-level kite that showcases high-end performance in big air, big power and precision control. The Varial X is powerful and fast-pulling, and pushes upwind with excellent drive. Steering is fast and direct, with smooth power generation through the turns; you can also transition with power through the down loop. There is no flutter in the canopy through the loop, and the kite pivots well. Unhooked, the Varial X backs up capably, pulls steadily, and delivers massive pop for advanced-level riders. The Varial X also had sound gust-taming ability, with smooth and progressive de-power that was lacking from last year’s Vapor X. Water relaunch isn’t as quick as the Lithium, but the kite lifts and rotates with a good, hard pull of the steering line. The higher aspect ratio of the Varial X grants the rider ample boost and hang time, and the hard driving speed of the kite will let any advanced-level rider soar for good distances. Advanced-level riders can take the Varial X anywhere, and push the limits of every discipline with this solid freestyle kite.
WHAT THE SBC TEST TEAM RIDERS ARE SAYING “Great kite: boosts huge, great turning, eats gusts for breakfast, stable and well-behaved. Great range, as well.” “I was never a fan of the Vapors... I just couldn’t dial them in. But this new Varial X hits the mark for high-flying freestyle and aggressive riding in any conditions—one of my favourites of the group.” “The Varial X can boost bigger and is more aggressive than the Lithium, and much more versatile than the old Vapors.”
Higher aspect ratio The higher aspect ratio of the Varial X can make water relaunch tedious. Cool Tech Features -Single-point inflation -V3 bridle systems -Dump valves on both wing tips
