High Fidelity: Susi Mai

Jan 11, 2007

Author: with Susi Mai

”When I was in school I was hanging out with boys a lot, so I was always listening to rock rather than all the girly stuff like Britney Spears. Living in the Dominican Republic, I listened to a lot of Latin American artists such as Maná, Juanes and Héroes del Silencio. I have to say, though, that my iPod has a bit of everything on it—hip-hop, Spanish stuff, Café del Mar, reggae, and lots of rock.” —Susi Mai

Favourite Travel Tracks
Green Day “Boulevard of Broken Dreams”
Slightly Stoopid “Collie Man”
Red Hot Chili Peppers “Snow”
Oasis “Morning Glory”
Gentleman “Intoxication”

Rock to Ride to
Linkin Park “Lying From You”
H.I.M. “Wings of a Butterfly”
Linkin Park “Don’t Stay”
Hoobastank “Running Away”
The Raconteurs “Steady as She Goes”

Rhythms to Chill Out in the Evening
Stone Temple Pilots “Interstate Love Song”
Frou Frou “Let Go”
Damian Marley “Road to Zion”
Jack Johnson “Banana Pancakes”
James Blunt “Wisemen”

”The songs in my head when riding are mostly rock, but it also depends on what’s playing on my iPod while I’m pumping up my kite.” —Susi Mai

Here is a short video of Susi riding in the Dominican Republic.
