The first day of the 2010 kiteboarding industry trade show in Hood River, Oregon scored ideal conditions for testing and demoing the new 2010 kites and boards.
The day started with 2010 product presentations from HQ Power kites, Under Ground Boards, and North Kiteboarding. The best attended was the North Kiteboarding presentation hosted by Doug Hopkins. Ken Winner was onhand to give top secret details about his new North Fuse kite to be released in early 2010.

After a quick lunch is was straight to be beach to try the latest gear from all the brands in attendance. They include HQ Kites, North Kiteboarding, Underground Boards, Liquid Force Kiteboarding, Griffin Kites, Starkite, Dakine, Hyperflex, NSI, BoarderChix Board Sports, Slingshot Sports, ShadowBox, F One Kiteboarding, Ocean Rodeo Kiteboarding, RRD Kiteboarding, Mystic Kiteboarding, Brunotti Boards, Naish Kiteboarding, Peter Lynn Kites, Shred Ready, Best Kiteboarding, Nobile Boards, Airush, Vari Kites, Wainman Hawaii, Royal Kiteboarding, ProLimit, and Ion.

Most shop owners and their staff were riding the new 10 and 12 meter kites. Conditions were gusty, ideal for testing the windrange and stability of the new models. With more than a 100 kites rigged and ready to go their was little waiting for kites, allowing riders to try multiple kites back to back. This opportunity is going to be an invaluble resourse for shop staff and owners that rode the kites as they they will be able to give their first hand feedback to customers about the models.

We will be posting feedback about the new models online as the week progresses.
