Many progressive shapes feel like you’re riding a big board with training wheels. Not so with this Cabrinha. A smooth ride makes for confident first runs, but the Prodigy goes that extra step. A more traditional 148 x 40 cm outline helps with controllable upwind power and drive in lower winds. The rails are shaped, giving a more forgiving ride on edge, and there’s enough rocker to keep things smooth enough if you’re still working on edge control. In fact, riding the Prodigy flat is more like being on a big surfboard—it feels stable and playful to foot pressure without feeling too loose. Big winds are one thing, but with a small kite, this small Prodigy sticks to the water—unless you’re ready for some air. Cabrinha’s 3-D footplate and wide-body strap system creates a direct connection to the board for excellent control when loading up for that first jump.
