Kite Loop Slim Chance
The first time I saw the Kite Loop Slim Chance was Ruben Lenten in Brazil. The first time I successfully threw one down was two summers ago (summer 2006) training at my homespot Wildcat (Violet Andrews) Park in Portland, Texas. It took me close to a month smacking the water practicing before I could call this move my own. The Kite Loop Slim is one of my favorite powered tricks.
Before you attempt the Kite Loop Slim Chance you must have Kite Loops and Slim Chance mastered. This trick requires both of these skills because it is a combination of the two.
1. First of all you unhook
2. Then you fishing pole the bar with your hands in a criss cross position.
3. As the kite starts looping, you will feel a sudden "jerk". Once you feel this "jerk" you pop off the water in a forward motion.
4. Next as you continue your forward rotation, pull your body upside down towards the bar.
5. If done correctly the bar should be near your right hip
6. As the kite finishes looping, you will feel a sudden "slack" in power - kind of like free falling.
7. At that moment you reverse the rotation and pass the bar very quickly - (like a normal slim chance)
8. Next important is to always spot your landing and steer the kite up over your head for a smooth recovery
9. Always bend your knees when you land, brace yourself as this is an intense landing because there is alot of speed involved when landing!!
