2012 Naish Park
Size Tested:
7, 10, 12 m

SBC Kiteboard editor John Bryja was recently invited over to the worldwide importer meeting on Maui this past June to give the new 2012 Naish gear a test drive. One of the real standouts of the week is the new 2012 Naish Park. Small refinements in the design of the Naish Park have resulted in big improvements on the water. The design features reduced sweep, and the tips have come forward, resulting in crisper bar feel that retains easy relaunch. The back lines have been moved forward for more direct bar feel and bar pressure. Low-end power has been improved, too, without noticeably sacrificing the top-end stability and control. A new anti-striction window (mesh) has been added to help water release when relaunching. The easier trimming on the below-the-bar Smart Loop is a huge improvement, as it allows for pulling at different angles. Now you don’t have to pull the depower strap at just the right angle. Two new sizes—5 and 12—have been added to the Park lineup for 2012. The new Park is, without question, the most refined and versatile kite Naish has ever built. Be sure to check out SBC Kiteboard magazine's 2012 Buyer's Guide for a head-to-head test of the 2012 Park.
