Update: (Click here for the 2011 Kite Reviews)
The first week of the SBC Kiteboard 2011 Gear test has come to a conclusion with the team experiencing some epic flat-water conditions at the SBC slick in Avon. It has been invaluable for the team to have a private launch closer to the big island giving them the ability to demo as many different kites as possible without driving a single mile. If you’re a wake-style rider, or freestyle rider, you won’t be disappointed with this year’s C-Kite Lineup. The Slingshot Fuel delivers the grunt and power of a true C-Kite, the North Vegas is smooth, fast and direct, and the Naish Park is ready for you to start throwing down.
On the few days that they have been without wind, the guys have managed to keep busy with a plethora of no-wind activities. Test team member Dan Steiner has been racking up slider sessions with the REAL Kiteboarding Crew, Jason’s Slezak’s backyard bowl has been getting put through its paces with daily skate sessions and the “KITE-KATAMARAN” has been a huge hit.
The second week of testing brings the promise of more warm, strong southwesterly winds. The ocean swell has been building steadily and the guys are eager to test some of the new 2011 Surfboards including the Naish Fish 5'8", Slingshot Tyrant 6'2", Wainman 5'10", Best Short stick, Airush Compact, RRD Salerosa, North Whip, and LF Rawson Mulcoy Pro.
