Kitesurf Pro Tour
Maui’s legendary North Shore will host the 2013 KSP World Tour finals from November 28 to December 7. With near-perfect down-the-line surfing conditions, Ho’okipa will once again offer an ideal stage for the culmination of the dramatic KSP World Title race. One of the world’s most highly regarded wind and wave locations, Ho’okipa is generally reserved as a surfing and windsurfing only venue. The Ho’okipa Kite Surf Pro will mark an exception to this rule, making it a very special event for riders and kite community alike. The name Ho'okipa means hospitality in Hawaiian and hospitable for waves and wind it is in any case. The 4 breaks of Ho'okipa bay (Pavilions, Middles, Green Trees and the Point) make it to the possibly favorite surf spot of Maui and with the strong trade winds blowing more or less regularly most of the year it is not only an amazing place for windsuring but kitesurfers alike. In 2012 the Ho'okipa Kite Surf Pro saw Keahi DeAboitiz (AUS/Cabrinha) and Jalou Langeree (NED/Naish) taking the World Championship Titles in an epic thriller. Tune in or come visit Ho'okipa Beach Park when the 2013 KSP finals are held on Maui's North Shore!
