The Park is Naish’s answer to one kite that does it all for any rider, doing any style in any condition. With some solid design refinements in the third year of its evolution, the Naish Park has matured into a true all-terrain performance weapon. The Park’s handling, depower and unhooked performance guarantees successful sessions in both the wakestyle and wave arenas. Last year, the Park’s low-end was improved, and this year, its handling and power delivery are refined even more. With a reduced-diameter leading edge, shorter, more compact bridles, and refinements in wing tip shape, the Park has faster flying speeds, solid depower and more stability than its much loved predecessor.
Faster pulling speeds translate to bigger jumps for the Park. The solid stability and turning of the kite is also improved for tighter, well-powered kite loops, and smooth, unhooked pull for wakestyle maneuvers. Its settings let it sit more forward in the window this year, which give it more access to instant depower, guaranteeing that edge for onshore waveriding, and endearing it to the progressing rider. Water relaunch is also slightly improved from last year, giving the Park the thumbs up for the progressing rider who wants a kite to learn with and never outgrow. The new reduced diameter control bar is more comfortable on the hands than any Naish has made, and the simplicity and function are well-matched to the Park’s stable and smooth flying character.
- When is fast too fast?
The smaller sizes of the Park turn superbly quick, which can catch less-experienced riders off guard. Set the kite to the slowest turning speeds and smallest kite bar setting to reduce this.
+ What the SBC Test Team raved about:
“A true all-terrain machine, light and nimble handling combines with smooth, unhooked pull that makes it good for waves and the wakestyle park.”
“I have always ridden C kites, but the Park has the right amount of C kite feel that I could give up my beloved Cs for good.”
“Rare combination of freestyle and waveriding ability.”
