The Epic Screamer 3G LTD offers massive boosting power, with drift the old schoolers dream about, and delivers more rounded performance than its second generation predecessor. The Screamer is solid through gusts, and remains stiff and reactive under load and while soaring to new heights. It has more depower, with tighter radius turning than the last version, as well. The kite sits more forward in the window and has wider, squared-off wing tips, which results in more progressive and evenly applied power through the kite loop. With a little front line trim, the Screamer can unhook and offers decent pop and drift, and hooked-in big boosting remains its true calling. The kite responds well to aggressive rider input while above head during big mumps, and will ensure soft landings, with an aggressive down turn or loop upon descent. The Screamer is best-suited to high-altitude boost masters, and intermediate riders who want more drift and loft in their jumps.
- Intimidation factor
Do not fly this kite unless you like to jump really high and long. Best to learn to jump smaller at first and then pull the trigger on this one.
+ What the SBC Test Team raved about:
“I had some amazing jumps on this kite, and actually caught myself scared at the height once or twice, but it always responded and reacted well for a quick loop and a soft landing.”
“Great low-end power, massive boosting capability, and it holds together smoothly through turbulent winds.”
