Mr. Green is one of the Wainman’s Rabbit Gang 2.0 series of kites that have been refined from their original incarnation, each size given its own cartoon-like persona. On the water, Mr. Green has plenty of get-up-and-go, with the low aspect and beefy central canopy providing plenty of power and range. This 7.5-metre can be tuned to suit your preferred discipline or style. For waveriders who seek out fast, pivotal, no-pull turns, Mr.Green performs admirably. The depower is also quick and shuts off within arm’s reach of sheeting through the bar. The turning speed and pull character of Mr. Green can be altered easily for unhooked freestyle performance with simple bridal adjustments. The “downwind” setting puts the kite deep in the window and offers easy pop and drift and good control while unhooked. It also increases the power and pull of the kite, eliminating some of the instant depower and increasing overall pull. With crisp and direct steering and no back stalling in any setting, and the instant, easy water relaunch, Mr. Green will equip any skill level or rider. Riders looking for a tunable kite with low aspect design that’s simple yet versatile should look to this bold and creative design.
- No lazy one-pump
The kite is decked out with the techiest bag on the market and lots of extra bling in scuff pads, protection and bridal setups, but it lacks a single point inflation system.
+ What the Test Team liked
“The kite, at first glance, feels like a powerful ball in the sky; it’s so wide through the centre, with small swept tips, but you can tune it to your preferred setting to slow down the pivot speed and put it deeper in the window for some great wakestyle sessions.”
