The Vector replaces the legendary Convert in 2012, the new three-strut design easily passing all the criteria required for the purest of Freeride All-Terrain performance. The Vector was the easiest of the Cabrinha kite models to water relaunch, as it rotated consistently with an easy pull of one steering line. The Vector had good levels of feedback from the back lines, which enabled testers to always know where the kite was. It’s more of a park-and-ride kite, with increased bar feedback in its turn initiation. The smooth pull and easy handling hit the mark for the fast progressing rider or intermediate- to advanced-level cruiser. The Vector carried testers into advanced jumping manoeuvres with great hang time and solid reaction to bar input. The smooth pull and cruise control-like driving stability allowed testers to concentrate on board skills and new moves, making it ideal for the progressing rider who needs to develop kite-flying skills, or for the more advanced waverider who wants to park the kite and carve up the surf.
WHAT THE SBC TEST TEAM RIDERS ARE SAYING: “The Vector nine-metre boosted huge, lofty jumps with awesome reaction and control in gusty conditions.” “This kite is easy to figure out, there’s lots of positive bar feedback, it has smooth pull and can eat up gusts by sheeting-out the bar and edging.”
